While this city tour of Kampala is in an area surrounded by many service providers, there are some things you should know. The good thing about being in Kampala is that you will easily find a place to provide you with some services or products you can quickly get if you happen to be in the jungle of the National Parks.

Here are some things to remember.

    • A little extra Cash. You will need to carry some extra cash – especially if you want to get yourself a Ugandan souvenir.
    • Modest clothing. Ugandans dress modestly and very skimpy clothing will not be regarded as a nice response for good hospitality.
    • Longer clothing if you intend to visit religious places of worship. ‘Wrong’ clothing is grounds for denying you entry or access.
    • Light clothing. While Kampala has a lot of rain days, it is mostly warm to hot even after a massive downpour. A simple T-shirt that is breathable enough should do the job.
    • Sunscreen, and sunglasses.
    • Your regular medication (as prescribed by your doctor).
    • Camera for some photos.

Your driver will advise you on any of these points. As your immediate point of contact, you should feel free to ask your driver for assistance, whether it is to clarify something or otherwise.

As earlier said, a Kampala city tour can be combined with another Uganda Safari in a single package. To give you an idea of how that would work, we have listed below an already made itinerary that show cases how A city tour is combined with a wildlife or gorilla safari to maximum effect.
